
Founded in May, 1989, Provence Aquaculture
raises European sea bass (Loup de mer) and sea
bream (Daurade Royale) in the open-sea, by the
small Mediterranean islands of Frioul, 3 nautical
miles off the coast of Marseille , France .
Our site is known for the quality of its waters
and was formerly a place where shellfish fisherman
would soak their catch to purify them.
A company committed to preserving the environment
Provence Aquaculture is situated on 2.2 hectares
of public maritime property; in August 1999,
our concession was renewed for another 35 years,
securing our ability to produce high-quality
products for years to come.
Our site is regulated by the French law governing
environmental protection (Classified Installations
for the Protection of the Environment- ICPE).
We regularly conduct environmental impact assessments
to ensure that our farm has no impact whatsoever
on the environment.
